Yacht In Transit
In many countries it may be possible to import goods without paying any import duties / fees if you are a Yacht In Transit. Please be aware that you may still be charged an admin or handling fee by the courier or broker.
If you are a Yacht In Transit then you may be required to provide your vessels documents in order to clear the goods through customs. There may also be a time limit as to how long you are allowed to spend in the country.
For more information please contact the local customs office in your destination country.
Import Duty & Fees
We are unable to advise how much any import duties or fees will come to, we also cannot advise how long this process may take.
Please be aware that you are responsible for paying any import duty / fees that the goods may attract. If you provide the contact details for someone other then yourself then please make sure that they are aware that you are sending goods to them and that they will be receiving them on your behalf as they will need to pay any import duty / fees.
For more information please contact the local customs office in your destination country.
Brokers
Sometimes brokers are appointed by either yourself or your local contact to clear the goods through customs. This may be recommended or necessary in some countries.
If you provide the contact details for someone other then yourself then please make sure that they are aware that you are sending goods to them and that they will be receiving them on your behalf. It will be down to the discretion of your contact as to whether they appoint a broker or not.
If you or your contact do appoint a broker then:
Responsibility for final delivery and clearance of the goods is down to the broker.
Delivery of the goods will be determined as the time that the broker receives the goods and not when they are delivered to you or your contact.
The courier will no longer be responsible for the goods and cannot provide any further updates.
We will be unable to provide any advice regarding estimated delivery times and can only offer limited support.
We cannot contact the broker on your behalf.
For all updates including customs clearance and final delivery you will need to contact the broker.
A broker cannot be unappointed, it will be at the discretion of the broker to appoint responsibility for clearing the goods through customs and final delivery back to the courier or another broker.
The broker will determine their own fees.
Any broker fees are to be paid by either yourself or your contact.
