Siphon Break Kit
A siphon-break is required if the generator is to be located close to or below the waterline. If the level of the waterline (including when the boat heels over) is higher than the generator exhaust injection point, water can siphon into the exhaust system and flood back into the engine through the exhaust valve, when the engine is stopped. If you are not sure – it is best to fit a siphon-break.
